- VIVAK sheet delivers more impact
strength than acrylic, while providing many of the benefits of
polycarbonate without the high material costs.
- PROPERTIES:
-VIVAK allows for thinner gauges and higher rates of production
through easy die cutting, punching, and low-temperature forming
-It's forgiving nature means less breakage during production
-VIVAK offers deep draws, complex die cuts and precise molded-in
details without sacrificing structural integrity
-Can be bonded or fastened using adhesives, tapes, ultrasonic
welding, or rivets
-Allows for fabrication of large, complex shapes cost-effectively
compared to other substrates

-Point of Purchase and in-store displays
-Indoor signage
-Suitable for harsh chemical environments
- APPLICATION LIMITATIONS:
VIVAK sheet, like any thermoplastic, has its performance limitations
under specific conditions and in particular environments which
the user should consider. For example:
- -Vivak sheet's heat resistance
of 145F precludes its use in heat generating applications where
typical temperatures exceed 140-145F
-While it is a common choice for interior signage, its limited
UV resistance eliminates it as a potential choice for long-term
outdoor applications
-VIVAK sheet's good chemical resistance makes it ideally suited
for harsh industrial environments. However, this chemical resistance
may mean longer fixturing time, when using solvent-based adhesives
- FORMING & FABRICATION:
VIVAK sheet may be fabricated using conventional thermoforming
equipment. It can be used under conditions similar to acrylic
sheet for both forming and secondary operations such as cutting,
routing and drilling. The material is also compatible with conventional
decorating and mechanical fastening systems.
